The furminator is an awesome grooming tool that gets the undercoat out. The undercoat is what sheds. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for the undercoat to come back in. Theoretically this should reduce a good amount of the shedding. Decreased shedding also decreases hairballs. The furminator also helps get through some minor matts. Almost everyone that has purchased a furminator really likes it.
