I’m writing this review today to inform others of the business practices that I experienced w/ the owners of Camelot RV & Boat Storage. I purchased my Airstream Interstate this year and have stored my unit at Camelot RV & Boat Storage for just over four months. My winterization service was completed in early Nov - At service pickup, I completed the Camping World required full 360 inspection of the RV (no damage identified) and drove the <1 mile to Camelot RV & Boat Storage. - I have 1) dated proof of the physical inspection by myself and service department; 2) mileage showing that the unit was driven immediately to storage; 3) gate video proving that the RV did not leave the storage location the following weeks. When I came back a few weeks later, there was @2K worth of damage to the driver side of my unit. It was clearly impact damage; possibly caused by the hitch from the boat stored in the adjoining spot. I contacted management right away, since they openly advertise that “Your property is always under our watchful eye!” (https://www.facebook.com/203822723819157/photos/a.215941059273990/240738436794252/?type=3&theater) - It's worth noting that pictures of security cameras are also included in this Yelp business listing. Since my unit was in spot 1017, right at the front of the paved lot, it was located only spots from the main entry gate. Based on my move in discussions, I was certain that they would have video of the incident. They do NOT have video and quickly stated that they are VERY clear with their messaging of monitoring only the main entryway. I felt completely and deliberately misled. Instead of the empathetic conversation that I would have expected from business owners, it turned into a hostile, rude, finger pointing discussion. It got even more insulting when they suggested (on multiple occasions) that the damage could have been caused at the Camping World service department! A company that is located right next door and who sends them regular referrals; myself included! In my opinion that speaks loudly to character and integrity. No attempt was made to resolve the situation in a civil or professional manner. At several points during our conversations, they claimed absolutely no liability for the damage that occurred while my RV was on their lot, or misleading discussions around the security that they have in place. The conversations only escalated as they made personal attacks against my character... It ended with mutual acceptance of the termination of my storage contract. To be fully transparent, the location was very convenient for me… But, the poor customer service from these two men when simple conflict resolution would have been the answer… Well, it’s not a company I will ever do business with again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.
