We rented from Danny Garrett for 3 years. On 12/23/2023, a fire occurred at the home and it became uninhabitable. The December 2023 rent was paid in full on 12/01/2023. The owner has refused to pay us for the days from 12/23/2023 - 12/31/2023. The original lease in Dec. 2020 stated that our deposit would accrue interest and we have not received that which is due per the lease agreement. We purchased our own renter's insurance and provided USMI Properties a copy and yet, Grover (Danny) Garrett charged us an additional liability fee for renter's insurance. I have contacted to owner numerous times requesting our refund and he refuses and uses intimidation tactics. It pains me to write this negative review. However, I feel our experience needs to be shared publicly.
