Unlicensed roofer had an unlicensed worker as well. When we hired him he stated he would finish the job within 5 days at the most. Our family went out of town 2 weeks after we hired him and he only finished one section of the roof, and left the rest of the roof exposed. My girlfriend and Aunt house-sitted for us and they said he never stopped by to finish his job. When we returned, the roof was exactly as he had left it, half torn off with no replacements on the roofing paper. The roofing paper had completely been weathered out by the sun and rain. We had to take him to court, to which he didn't show up. He then called us to try to threaten us with a lien, but of course, he would've lost that as well. We had to hire another company to finish his job, to which we were informed that he didn't lay the shingles down properly. He has been reported to the Utah Department of Commerce already so he if offers a roofing job he's on his 2nd violation. Terrible shoddy work, I have pictures of the damage done, every time we called to ask him where he was he was rude and abrasive. Swore and yelled at us several times for "babysitting" him.
