I've been a loyal customer of 3M Alterations & Tailor for approximately 2 years and do not question the quality of their work. I tried on/dropped off my wedding dress on 5/23/15 and was told it would be ready on 6/10/15 - 2 1/2 weeks rather than the 2 weeks that was originally communicated to me. I left work early on 6/10/15 to try on/pick up my dress. When I arrived that day, I was told it was in the same place she left it...nothing had been done to it. Needless to say, I was upset. The owner asked if I could pick it up the following Saturday, and I told her I needed it earlier since I was leaving for my wedding the following Monday. Part of the reason I wanted to pick up my dress earlier was to make sure no additional alterations were needed. We agreed that I could pick up my dress on 6/12/15, at 8am (versus 10am which is when the store opens). This caused me to be late to work. I tried on the dress at 8am on 6/12/15 and was satisfied with the work. When I went to pay, I was told by the owner that she would take off the tax ($16.50) from my order ($200). I told the owner that it was not fair, since she did not have my dress ready when she was supposed to. After a lot of arguing back and forth, she agreed to charge $180. I do not recommend this store if you're looking for good customer service and your work to be delivered on time!!!
