OMG! Don’t take your dog to Baby Paws!!! The owner is very unprofessional when he speaks to his customers. If you call to make an appointment you can just hear the snobbyness in his voice. My wife asked the owner questions about certain services he provides for dogs and what is involved in the specific services. He got annoyed, maybe he was annoyed with our questions, but we have a right to ask questions. I felt uncomfortable and somewhat bad for “thinking” maybe we had said something wrong (so we left our dog against our better judgement). I guess we just thought that ‘surely someone in this line of work cared for the animals and would never try to harm our dog.’ As soon as we got our dog home, I noticed a sore on her right shoulder. It looked like the clippers or scissors nipped her. I left it alone…. and within a week the hair on the sore fell out. I took my dog to two vets and was told I should find another groomer because my dog has a fungal infection. It has been two months and numerous trips to the vet. My dog is still not better! I learned a lesson from this experience, don’t just pick any groomer. Check references, ask questions, and listen to your gut instinct! This hair cut has cost me over $200 in vet bills and this doesn’t even include what I paid for the haircut, that was not that great. I have never drafted up a complaint like this about any business before today. However, after what we went through (I NEVER WANT ANYONE ELSE TO GO THROUGH THIS).

I've been taking my Bichon Frise to Baby Paws, Albuquerque, NM since she was 4 months old. She goes every 6 wks and is 9 months old now. She is happy when she gets in the shop so I know not to worry. Miquel the owner has always been caring and has always done a great job on her grooming. The price is right too! I wouldn't take her to any other groomer.
