She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. She earned her Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky. Additionally, she has been trained in EMDR therapy, a specialized therapeutic approach designed specifically for people who have experienced trauma.
