My daughter rented from Johnnie for a year with two other roommates. Johnnie let one roommate leave his lease several months before it was up and the other a month before her lease was up. He never came by to make sure they left their part of apartment clean. However when my daughter left on May 25th my husband and I made sure we left the apartment clean. We even hauled several loads of garbage and furniture from the apartment that the other students left. We talked to Johnnie several times and he assured us we would get back our part of the deposit. He even stated it would go out by June 25th. (30 days after our daughter moved out.) Well needless to say we have received NOTHING and we have called over 14 times leaving messages after messages and not one call has been returned. Our daughters rent was ALWAYS sent on time and in full. I would like to hear from anyone as to what action we can take to insure that we receive our deposit? I We really thought we were dealing with an honest company.
