The main reason is working on the computer allows me to express my creative side without a lot of paints and chemicals which is important when you have a very curious toddler running about. Creating digital art forces me to use my brain in a different way being that I need to adjust how I am going to achieve the concept I have in my head. I often work on an image for days until I get it "just right". You can find hints of my past mixed media pieces in my digital collages such as in the piece "Innocence". The Botanical Collection was created using a scanner as a camera. Most of my flowers come from the wonderful vendors at Pike Place Market.
