May 14, 2012 Dear CAFTA owners, staff, funding sources, all participants, big and small (you know who you are), I am writing to thank you for the experience my daughter has had with CAFTA throughout this past academic year. CAFTA is wonderful for exploring creative methods of expression through the visual arts. As a "CAFTA mom", I have seen direct benefits with my daughter in her methods of self-expression, ability to be "herself" and speak publically about her thoughts and opinions. My daughter has been a grateful receipient of a scholarship for the past year. Given all that CAFTA has done for children, the arts, and downtown Torrington, I hope that funds will be revealed which lessen tensions, allow for thoughtful consideration and keep programming available for the increasing number of individuals who commit to the expresson of art. Integration of differences is imperative to eliminate any unnecessary distractions for the beauty that lies within accepting oneself.
