Do not hire this company or Jason Martino, its owner, under any circumstances. I hired Jason to paint my house in July 2020, which he said would be a 5-8 week job. By the end of August almost nothing had been done--he had done some prep work but not actually painted a single thing. In mid-September his wife became ill, which I felt terrible about. Despite the fact that the job should have already been completed, I suggested that if he needed to care for her he let me know and I'd find someone else to do the job. He insisted he could finish. At the end of October he asked me for an advance against the second phase of the project even tho he still hadn't finished the first, which I agreed to because I felt bad about his wife and hoped being my generous would inspire him to actually buckle down and complete the job. Of course that didn't happen. His MO the entire time was to not show up for weeks at a time, give a thousand excuses and apologies, stretch the truth about what been done and what needed to be done, leave everything to the last minute of a deadline and then beg for another chance. I gave him a dozen chances to make things right and he blew it every time. Now it's February, my house isn't painted, I'm out thousands of dollars and have to completely start over in the spring. I will be taking him to court because, despite numerous attempts to settle the matter privately (not to mention a signed contract, endless texts and photos proving exactly what happened) he refuses to reimburse me and is trying to guilt-trip me into not holding him accountable. Frankly, I can't afford to lose that money when I have to hire another painter to actually do the job, and either way I shouldn't have to. I cannot express my frustration, disappointment, and anger about this situation, especially since he presents himself as this affable guy who is all about honesty and loyalty who is going to be so easy to work with. Don't fall for his act and get screwed over like I did.
