Spine Center - Interventional Pain Management & Orthopedic Spine Surgery Dr. James Cain heads the Interventional Pain Management & Diagnostic Radiology division of Spine Associates. Dr. Cain obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree, with honors, from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He went on to complete a fellowship in Neurodiagnostic Radiology and is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists. Dr. Cain's approach to Pain Management is simple: "Pain management should not hurt! Provide the best procedure possible, while not hurting the patient." He accomplishes this through experience, the use of fluoroscopy (live TV x-ray), the use of the smallest needles possible, and judicious use of sedation. He has performed thousands of pain procedures without a mishap.
