Dr. James Cain heads the Interventional Pain Management & Diagnostic Radiology division of Spine Associates. Dr. Cain obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree, with honors, from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. James Cain heads the Interventional Pain Management & Diagnostic Radiology division of Spine Associates. Dr. Cain obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree, with honors, from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He went on to complete a fellowship in Neurodiagnostic Radiology and is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists. Dr. Cain's approach to Pain Management is simple: "Pain management should not hurt! Provide the best procedure possible, while not hurting the patient." He accomplishes this through experience, the use of fluoroscopy (live TV x-ray), the use of the smallest needles possible, and judicious use of sedation. He has performed thousands of pain procedures without a mishap.
