Fine art photography and photography education. In an endeavor to connect the students, faculty, commercial photographers and artists involved with various local Charlotte art institutions, I have created a blog dedicated to the photographic and art community, both locally and globally, where I curate exhibitions, sponsor contests and feature individual artists. As an an artist, I have found a system within photography - traditional and digital technologies - that allows me to maximize the feelings that I long to convey. Specific combination's of high speed film, pinhole and lens cameras and printing techniques allow me to achieve a richness and texture, an ethereal and nostalgic quality that helps me to express the emotions that I need to deal with in my work and in my life.
