With the advent of extrusion coating of polyethylene onto cellophane, Modern Packaging initiated the packaging of fresh seafood and meat products for consumer display within the A & P grocery stores. Further fabrication and the employment of polypropylene film enabled Modern Packaging to produce quality surface or reverse printed laminations for the containment of cheese. The acquisition of an extrusion coater\laminator enabled Modern Packaging to address packaging films for the perishable goods market. Reverse printed packaging films and laminations for the containment seafood, dairy, meat products as well as processed foods became the stable of Modern Packaging. 1962 was the year that changed the packaging world of Medical Device.
