Dr. Brett McDonough grew up in southern Minnesota. Having poor eyesight, and having a grandmother with macular degeneration and a grandfather with glaucoma, Dr. McDonough developed an interest in optometry from an early age. He received his Biology degree from the University of Minnesota at Mankato and Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Brett McDonough grew up in southern Minnesota. Having poor eyesight, and having a grandmother with macular degeneration and a grandfather with glaucoma, Dr. McDonough developed an interest in optometry from an early age. He received his Biology degree from the University of Minnesota at Mankato and Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1997. Dr. McDonough then moved to Chattanooga Tennessee and started Hamilton Village Eye Care in the spring of 1998 at the Hamilton Place Walmart in Chattanooga. In 2008 his business expanded and changed the practice name changed to Chatt Eye Docs.
