I have been buying these candles for gifts for years. My personal favorite is lilac and I have one in my bathroom that I lit only once. I keep the lid on it and when I go in to take a bath I remove the lid and it still smells like lilacs and I swear it is at least 12 years old (that is twelve years old.) I also like the apple spice and have purchased just about every scent that she makes. Someday I will bring myself to burn my lilac, I do have a refill to replace it when I do. You can burn the candle and not do any harm to the decoration in the glass and then you can purchase the refill and it is new again. Mine still smells so good that I just can't bring myself to burn it.
