Although these apartments are nice by Iowa City standards, the landlord, Bryan Svoboda, is absolutely awful. He goes back on his word AND HAS EVEN KNOCKED ON MY APARTMENT DOOR, BEGGING ME TO BABYSIT HIS SON. He takes advantage of his tenants, doing all he can to keep deposit money. You MUST get everything this man says down in writing, otherwise he will go back on his word. Furthermore, he engaged inappropriately with one of my roommates, texting and flirting with her. She wished for him to stop, but didn't know how to tell him without him taking it out on us and our deposit. Seriously, THIS GUY IS BAD NEWS. Steer clear (unless you are male), and GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!
