Consumer Beware! I am Molly Gierasch. We hired Richard Duran of Peoples Choice Roofing. Using my insurance for a house in Golden, CO for a roofing job that included gutters and down spouts. The insurance company told me that he charged too much. I paid Mr. Duran extra for gutters and down spouts. He never finished the job and will not respond to my messages or emails. The roofing part of the job looks like it was done well, but I am not happy with the lack of completion of the job and his refusal to respond to me. Last contact from him claimed family emergencies. This excuse changed from a car accident then for a shooting of a family member. Then no more contact.

At first we were working together just fine . He did seem a little odd but I ignored it . But then he fell out of communication for a while, then text me and did apologize for the delay . We proceeded and suddenly a drone contractor comes to my building with no information as to why he was there and he didn’t even know who sent him somehow. I called Rich and left a message and asked if he ordered it . He called me back sounding upset that I was a little taken aback he would send a contractor to take drone footage without giving me a heads up . He said that the drone contractor “so stupid” and that he didn’t even need to ask us to take drone footage , he should have just done it . I said well, the drone contractor did say the FAA regulations require him to get the building owners permission. I said the words “ I just feel a little uncomfortable” he was suddenly set off by those words in a really creepy way. He was yelling and then hung up on me . For another small roof leak repair job he did for us , he never sent us the invoice after I asked for it many times and then sent nasty texts and emails accusing us of not paying him . I said I just needed time until our accountant returned from a training in another state to check and he text back only “Wow.” Just very rude , sarcastic vibes from him all around . Finally he sent it just now, threatening a late fee when I said I just needed a little time to get it approved by my organization before paying it out . Be careful .
