I, as both Secretary and Internal Vice President, had the opportunity and pleasure to work with Jennifer Barrett while she was the General Manager of our homeowner association. The task of General Manager of such a large association is daunting at best, and a true challenge for any manager and leader. Jennifer provided exceptional guidance in the day to day operations, managing more than 30 personnel in all aspects to include accounting, architectural, scheduling, and all associated personnel actions. Additionally, she provided exceptional strategic guidance in identifying long term HOA goals, and prioritized these based on budget constraints and community needs. Her relationship with subordinates was outstanding, and she was well respected by all employees, and by all homeowners. This is probably where she excelled the most, being able to translate our resident’s needs and desires into priorities, and subsequently guided hundreds of projects to completion. It was my true pleasure to work hand in hand with her, and would give her my highest possible recommendation to manage any HOA, no matter which size or complexity. My only regret was that she moved on to explore other managerial opportunities, but understand the importance of furthering one’s career and challenging oneself. J.H., Internal Vice President
