The idea was to make a golf tee that was virtually unbreakable, compared to wood tees, which seem to break on virtually every hole. However, when we were field testing different materials of our new design, golfers kept saying the ball was going farther and straighter. So we sent tees to a testing laboratory, where they used computer-controlled drivers to confirm that the ball truly goes farther and straighter with a Martini.
