The Hummingbird Customized Living Facility has worked with Nancy and Owens for quite a few years. We have many residents that use their service and we have nothing but praises for them. Their service is very good and we can always reach out to them. For you negative folks, Why dont you go to their operation to see what they deal with in a typical day. I know how some of my residents are and they are downright rude and nasty. and this is on a daily basis because they are entitled. They need more money and advances so they can get cigarettes. Fact not Fiction. Then add our Government giving out stimulus checks. what an absolute cluster. The Government has no clue what a mess they created for the providers and payees. To the ones struggling with the debit cards. If all else fails, Read the directions. Pretty simple. It's pretty sad in today's world that if a person can't communicate one on one with a company when they are not happy. They post it on this type of platform. I think it's really chicken. Owens and Company was my payee from May 2015 - July 2015. I also had a very bad experience with Owens and Company. It was a night-mare. Every month he claimed to have paid the monthly bills. I would call and check with my creditors ....and Mark had not paid them as he said...he had. There never was a month that he actually paid my bills without me calling over and over asking him to please pay them. One of his favorites was, he had paid them and he did not know why they would say he had not. The same month that Mark Owens became our payee I was also pre-approved for home loan. It had been a goal that I had for my son and I the past 5 yrs. I was so proud, and excited. And 3 months after Owens & company started i was denied final approval. Mark had been more than 30 days late numerous times, and it had been reported to the credit bureau. My credit score dropped almost 100 in 3 months. Owens and Company consists of 2 people, Mark and Christy Owens, Christy answers the phone, and has nothing to do with accounting....according to her and Mark. If that is true.....the average SSI check is $733. per month.....$733 x 300 clients = $219,900 a month x 12 months = $2,638,800 a year and Mark Owens has sole control of all that money..That does not include what ever he receives through Entrada LCC, his other non profit company. The guy could not even pay my bills or tell me what my bank balance was. And he still owes me $800. He needs to be investigated.

Mark Owens was my Representative payee for three and a half weeks. From June 1, 2014 until June 25, 2014. I changed payees because he lied about sending me my money and repeatedly refused to take my phone calls. Today's date is August 19, 2014. He is still holding onto $1271.00 of my money. The Social Security Administration has contacted him on the phone and through the mail making demand for the return of my benefits. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (in July)...he refuses to respond. I have also filed a complaint with the OIG....that is the division of Social Security that investigates and prosecutes fraud, misuse and abuse of funds by representative payees. In addition, I have spoken with the Office of the Regional Commissioner for Social Security. Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances use his services!
