At Morningside Recovery, clients receive individualized treatment for addiction and mental health issues. The program follows an open model that teaches the skills necessary for a recovering individual to function in the world, rather than isolating him or her from real life. Each Morningside Recovery client receives access to a broad range of therapies, from dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT) to experiential adventure therapy. These therapies enrich the center's program of daily support from master's- and doctoral-level therapists. Also dedicated to meeting client's unique life situation needs, the center offers judgment-free and discrimination-free treatment for those in the LGBT community and for all others. The behavioral health professionals at Morningside Recovery focus on use of the dual diagnosis treatment model, which addresses addiction as well as such co-occurring mental health issues as depression, anxiety, and stress. By treating these mental health concerns, therapists can address contributing factors that affect substance use. Clients also have access to a certified life coach who helps with the development of career plans for after treatment. Additionally, an integrated family program helps loved ones to understand the recovery process and strengthen relationships. Support and connection with Morningside Recovery continues after treatment through a variety of alumni events including monthly meetings.
