I called Long Beach Custom Fab and asked how much it would be to powder coat my motorcycle exhaust. He replied around $80.00. A couple weeks later I rode my bike to his shop on 4 Bay Colony Dr in Plymouth Ma so he could see exhaust and give a close to exact price. He then again quoted me 80.00 maybe a little more like 95.00. I then gave him $100.00 and got a receipt. About a week or two later I took the exhaust off my bike and brought it down to him. A week after that he called and said they were complete. Then told me it was going to be $175.00. That is double the quote price. I argued that he should have called me if it was going to be that high after telling me he would do them for 80.00 to $95.00. Finally we agreed that I would pay $135.00. I went there picked up the exhaust paid the extra $35.00 and went home. As I began putting the exhaust on my bike the powder was chipping off. (Powder coating is not suppose to chip off) As I tightened bolts the powder crumbled off. It was so thick in some areas I couldn’t get the bolts through it. After it was all on my bike chipped with bare metal showing I started the bike. Within fifteen minutes the powder began to bubble, crack and blister. This is because he did not use the ceramic based powder that I asked for and that he knows is required for high heat applications. I don’t think he even heat treated the parts after powder coating them. I was furious. My exhaust was ruined. I called them leaving a message demanding a full refu
