I am a 55 yr old functional male with problems of depression and related issues. I have seen approximately 6 or 7 other psychiatrists in my time. Dr Blume is a young man probably in late 30's. However he is very polished professionally fpr his age. He listens to his patients. He has frequently referred to things that i may have mentioned months ago. He prescribed medication for me that my old time family doctor disagreed with, however the older primary care doctor changed his attitude after talking with this young doctor who was not to be bullied by anyone but it was obvious in his attitude change that he was unhappy with me for going over his head to speak. Dr. Blume contacted and the older doctor after talking with Dr. Blume actually came to grips with the situation. The doctor is pleasant and it is a trip to the doctors that i actually enjoy because i am dealing with a true professional who is good at his craft and will have a very successful career. he is a true professional who is acting on my behalf for my well being.
