A Place of Peace is an Interfaith Sanctuary & a Wellness Center providing a "Place" to go for emotional/spiritual/personal self discovery and wellness Our vision and mission for A Place of Peace is to provide a Sanctuary of Peace in the Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties - to be available and accessible to those in need of a Place to go for: assistance, connection, education, spiritual development, outreach - community. We provide a place for people to come together for inspiration, creation and service - to raise consciousness toward balance and healing. Balanced and harmonious individuals create stable families and stable families become viable members in their community and society as a whole. It does take a village to change the world! At A Place of Peace we begin one by one - one service at a time, one session, one meditation, one lecture, one class.... We are a community within the community for the community - a "Place" to journey: emotionally, spiritually and personally - a home for body/mind/soul. We are in the beginning phase of creating A Recovery Home for Women. We will offer a "Place" of safety and healing that will enable women to face life's struggles as they move toward their freedom and wholeness. Our resident treatment program will be a nurturing community environment. Our clients will be treated with respect and dignity. Our goal is comprehensive healing of mind, body and spirit. Our graduates will become viable contributors in our community and give positive example and role modeling to those still struggling.
