I would reccomend you don't hire this company! Family had bad experience with this man and his company. Check this company out ccap/wi before you hire. Don't be fooled like we were .Keep your hard earned money you worked so hard to get and don't give this company a cent. Just my opinion but we got screwed over and this company is still doing it.

Manta, take responsibility & see the type of person you are recommending on your site before you delete this. I hired Baldwin Building Improvements (& worked with the owner) on 01/14/15 to add 2 bdrms & a bath. I paid him 25% of the project cost at that time. His promised start date was 02/17/15. On 02/18/15 he called & said they were ready to start on 02/23/15 & he wanted the 2nd 25% immediately. I told him I wasn’t comfortable giving him the payment until they were on site. He said the excavator required more money down than anticipated. We finally agreed on me paying 1/2 of the 2nd payment. He also indicated (in writing) the 2nd half of the 2nd payment would not be due until the egress windows & excavation was completed. On 02/22/15 he called & said it was too cold to start work. I asked why they couldn’t bring over materials & start the framing inside. He said it didn’t make any sense to start the framing before the egress widows were completed (several other contractors did not agree with him & framing could have started). He refused to give me my money back at that time. He finally started my project on 03/11/15. His crew did 2 days of partial framing & then stopped. He then demanded the 2nd half of the 2nd payment. I reminded him about the agreement we had for the payment being due when the egress windows were completed. He said that didn’t matter since he started the project. He refused to do any more work. I took him to court and won. He now refuses to pay me

I had a horrible experience with this person Dale Baldwin, owner of this business if I can call a business or a business to cheat honest people, I am still having problems for him to accept that he has to paid taxes for the$ 4,000.00 he received in excess for a project that I have to stop becouse I notes terrible behavior,his temper out of control, a complainer, no respect for others and complete untrustworthy,horrible experience really, don't get cut on the veteran thing as I did, still waiting for his w9 and he still arguing, I choose to report him to IRS, tired of reading all this horrible reviews about this guy and his business to cheat
