I signed up for Amy Gossels' series with several unexpected obstacles headed my way. I was unable to attend classes 1 & 2, but Amy didn't let me get away that easily. Not only is she a phenomenal instructor with innovative approaches to on-camera professionalism but she also, simply put, is an AMAZING HUMAN BEING. Without having ever met me outside of her original SAG-AFTRA Foundation virtual seminar that I attended 4 months prior, she made sure I was okay then we moved on to her Signature Intensive On-Camera Series... Amy shares such unique techniques that I won't give spoiler alerts on (you HAVE TO be there to understand) that have forever changed the game for me. During the course of her series, I used her technique and not only obtained a callback with a Tribeca Film Festival-selected filmmaker, but I was also offered a contract for representation with one of her guest Managers that graced the 4th session of our series. Advice: Make the proper investment(s) in you; people believe in you as much as you believe in you. There are no shortcuts that produce longevity. Take away: Just when you think you have it mastered, you instantly become the grasshopper. Always be teachable. -Janessa

I was able to sit in on one of Amy's virtual masterclasses recently - I learned so much that my head was spinning! I took pages and pages of notes and couldn't wait to use her technique during my upcoming auditions. Amy's notes during everyone's reads were simultaneously so specific and so gentle. It was moving to see how much people transformed in just a few minutes. Since the seminar, I've already booked two commercials and gotten four callbacks because I applied her incredibly effective tools and technique! I haven't even had a chance to work with Amy personally, but everything I learned from simply observing her seminar has already proven to work!

Thank you, Amy, for the illuminating and informative Seminar you gave at SAG-AFTRA last Thursday! It was jam-packed with so much important info and I really appreciate the time you spent working with me on "your technique". I used your technique at a recent callback for a film and it really helped my performance. I also have been inwardly saying "Life is good" and "I've got it going on" as you instructed, which has also helped in dealing with day-to-day dealings in show biz and even life. You said so many important things and gave so many useful tools, I could not take notes fast enough and have been benefiting from them ever since. It was stunning to watch you lead each actor through his or her copy, catching each one if their "Connect" or "Land" was not made. You were rapid-fire and the entire seminar was like fireworks. I don't think I've ever taken a seminar in which so much important info and so many important tools and info were given. Thank you very, very much for your time and everything you shared, which I will use and am using now! Thank you very, very much again and BRAVA on your superb seminar. I look forward to training with you further!

I came to Amy looking for help with my auditioning skills and technique. Thanks to Amy, I've learned what makes me unique and how to bring "myself" to my tapes. This directly led to more callbacks and bookings! In fact, Amy's coaching was instrumental in helping me land my first SAG principal booking, a great spot for E-Trade. I LOVE working with her and can't speak more highly of our time working together in class and in private sessions. Thank you for everything, Amy!

I've yet to come across a person as dedicated to her work as Amy is. It is her passion and her joy. It shows in every decision she makes, every endeavor she undertakes, every person she comes across. Amy's knowledge, experience and support is unparalleled and she shares all of it so freely. Consider yourself very fortunate if you have the opportunity to work with her. Her projects are flawless and she's the loveliest person ever to work with!

There are no words that can fully express how grateful I am to Amy Gossels. Amy took on our film “If We Must Die” as a producer and casting director and I was thrilled she was then able to take on my next film “Puppy Love". I can honestly say these films literally exist thanks to Amy’s incredible work and generosity. In fact, the films doesn’t just exist, they are films we couldn’t be more proud of or excited about. From the very beginning, Amy helped us in such a determined and positive way, championing us and our projects to name actors and generating interest in our film. I still can't believe how many unbelievable opportunities came our way because of Amy’s passion and commitment. She lined up countless meetings with amazing, well-known actors whom she knows personally, something we could never have even imagined in our wildest dreams. Not only was each actor Amy suggested perfect for the role, she went on to successfully lock in all of our first choices, despite their very complicated film and television schedules and the fact that they command rates much higher than we could offer. Moreover, every single actor was wonderful to work with, which made everything easy and a joy on set. Amy is a remarkable casting director and producer. But she’s so much more. She also became our most trusted collaborator and our essential creative partner in the entire filmmaking process. I can't imagine moving forward with a film without Amy as an integral part of my team. Giovanni

Amy Gossels is one of my most trusted and respected colleagues. Quite simply, she’s the best in the business. As a producer, there’s no one I’d rather be casting with. With her keen sensibility, creative vision, vibrant energy, steadfast determination and infinite talent and enthusiasm, she has the unique ability to find that needle in the haystack, those rare gems that literally ignite a piece. She's also remarkably generous and a truly collaborative spirit, which makes working with her an absolute joy. You’ll never find a casting director who cares more about her projects and the people she works with or delivers more spectacular results.

Amy Gossels is simply phenomenal. As a casting director, a teacher and a human being. As a talent manager, I know and interact with her regularly in all 3 capacities. As a casting director, her poise and professionalism are legendary and she’s always wonderful to work with. As a human being, her warmth, grace, dedication and integrity are unmatched in this business. And as a teacher, all I can say is WOW. Since the first time I came out to observe one of her workshops, I was blown away by the transformation I saw among the participating actors, even just half way through the first class! The key pointers Amy made had a huge and immediate impact on everyone’s work, and it was such an exciting thing to see. Amy is amazing and her workshop is without a doubt the best I’ve ever encountered. I encourage all my clients to work with her, and those who have find themselves much more comfortable in the audition room and many have gone on to book work because of Amy’s remarkable technique. Her workshops are so beneficial that quite frankly, I think they should be considered required training for any actor who is serious about succeeding in this business.

Taking Amy Gossels’ workshop is like being given a definitive roadmap to a successful acting career. She not only instructs, she inspires and empowers. Her workshop gave me the confidence and ability to approach auditions like a pro and the insight, advice and tips she shared about the business had immediate results, and led me to land my first principal role in a global commercial 3 weeks later and a national spot shortly after! I can’t thank Amy enough for helping me kick off my career in NYC!

As a filmmaker and commercial director, with critically acclaimed films at Sundance, I first met Amy 12 years ago, while casting a commercial project I was directing for a major pharmaceutical client. I had never been completely satisfied with what casting directors delivered in the past, and never felt the whole hearted commitment I was hoping for. So, I reached out to Amy after hearing enthusiastic feedback from several colleagues and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Amy is the consummate professional with an incredible eye for talent. She has an independent sensibility, so her casting always bring depth, skill and authenticity to the project. She works with not only the most seasoned talent, including well known actors, many of whom she counts among her close friends, but with newcomers as well; Amy’s incredible instincts bring actors from all different backgrounds to the table that not only mesh with your directorial vision but also elevate that vision. She also brings heartfelt integrity and commitment to the entire process, shows tremendous respect and warmth toward actors, and is great to have on your side when making final decisions. I would never trust casting my projects to anyone else.
