Please beware of this company and their substandard quality of work, lack of professionalism and ethics, and plain old shady and aggressive tactics. Our general contractor hired this company to texture and paint the entire interior of our home that was recently obliterated by internal flooding. During the course of their time at the house, they smoked cigarettes and left butts in our yard and driveway, covered the side of our house and much of our side yard in white wash, and even abandoned the project for days on end while they plowed snow, causing the job to extend well beyond the initial scope and into four weeks (we were expecting 1-2 - not the end of the world in of itself, but in combination, this was awful). It was never completed in large part because we asked our GC to fire this company once we came in to see the work that had been done. We found seriously subpar work - awful texturing in looks and feel (it feels like sandpaper), paint all over our mirrors and appliances, egregiously poor lines, not to mention countless small flaws (being able to see the white wall underneath what was supposedly two coats of paint, etc). There were unapproved change orders that nearly doubled their initial estimate that were never presented in writing to our GC, let alone to us, and the company filed an intent to file mechanics liens against us when we refused to pay thousands upon thousands over our agreed-upon price. On top of it all, they were storing our interior doors and brand new trim in their work trailer and left our house with this personal property. The owner initially refused to return this to us until we paid, demonstrating not only larceny, but extortion. They ultimately returned it to us without further event, but initially they did threaten to not return it. The owner was aggressive to our GC and to our family, having yelled several times and using threatening language both in conversation and in text communications. In the end, we paid them approximately $1,000 more than our agreed upon amount but without what we estimate to be about $3,000 worth of work that we must hire out to someone else. So, we came out $4,000 out of pocket, a nearly 50% increase in our initial budget. We are on a budget that is based on insurance funds and it was clear that this company was looking to take us for every dollar possible. Our home interior walls look like crud thanks to these awful and unprofessional painters. It was the worst contractor experience we have ever had and I caution anyone against utilizing this company for any home improvement projects, painting especially. The lack of professionalism was astounding.
