Worked for Esposito Mortuary Services as a GMA(General Mortuary Assistant). Main complaint is compensation. “Shift pay” is $125/shift. 9a-7p If I worked past 7p, which was the majority of the time, I did not get compensated extra. If I worked 40+ hours a week, I was not compensated extra. I could work 65 hours and not receive a dime more than the shift pay. They are contracted with CCME (Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner) to pick up deceased at crime scenes, in houses, etc. If a call came in at 6:59, I was expected to go to the scene. This would take on average from 45minutes-2 hours to complete. For somebody with a spouse and kids and other responsibilities outside a part time job, this was extremely unfair and a waste of my time. And with no other incentive other than “you have to because it’s the rules”, It was near impossible to take the place seriously. Unless you’re a 17 year old kid with tons of free time, don’t waste your time here.
