Sensei Ray has honed her martial skills since the age of 6. She has trained under Grand Master Herbie Thompson under the Nisei Goju Ryu Karate System.

Sensei Ray is a stickler for education. Her degrees are the following: Master's of Science: Behavioral Specialist Concentration: Criminal Justice Bachelor's of Art: Criminal Justice Bachelor's of Science: Social Science She has volunteered her time to numerous coalitions/organizations throughout the State of Louisiana to promote physical activity and education.
