To our dismay, we purchased a used RV from Southern RV months ago with retirement money and a dream to travel after retirement.. Sadly, it is still unusable. The roof on the unit was replaced which we thought would alleviate future problems. While going through the coach, we discovered there was no power. Lo and behold, when they replaced the roof and structure, screws were found to be in the wiring. As we were told, without expensive repair, the unit can never be used. What can you do without power, i.e. lights, ceiling fans, and just about everything. Also, we were told everything was in working order. That's not true. The generator will never work either as it is clogged from gas sitting in the part. Months after the fact, they tell me that is to be expected and they will fix it for $300.00!!! That's a joke, why should we pay them any additional money when they (owner, shop supervisor and office personnel all assured everything was in working order. We returned to this dealership several times, ruling out other units we had looked for the features . Right now and for the future, it will be a nice yard decoration and/or playhouse for our grandchildren. I am thoroughly disgusted! Sure put a damper on our desire to travel and enjoy life after 50 years of employment; this is not to be because we cannot afford money for these expensive repairs. We were told the roof and structure would have to be removed and the wiring redone. Sorry this purchase was ever made!
