Stay away from this guy! I hired him to paint my girlfriends apartment after he quoted a pretty fair price. On the day he was supposed to start, a completely different painting company showed up to do the work. None of these guys could speak English, they were dirty and none of them understood the scope of work to be done in the apartment. All three of them were waiting in her living room for Juan Montoya to arrive to instruct them on what to do. It was very uncomfortable. To my amazement, when he arrived, it was clear that he never even met the people who he sent to pain the apartment. UNBELIEVABLE!! It gets better. ...the three painters wanted a deposit before they began work. Before you know it, there are 4 guys arguing about how they do business right in the middle of her living room with ZERO consideration for us or her neighbors. Finally, Juan Montoya hands them each $100 in cash. After witnessing this, I decided I didn't want any of them working in the apartment because I got the feeling that something wasn't right. When I told them all to leave, Juan Montoya demanded I pay him what he paid the workers or he would lien the apartment!
Do yourself a favor and stay away. Montoya Services LLC is a shady operation and shouldn't be trusted for a second.
