Originally, I had a great experience with Lords Jewelers. The sales clerk (Usaid Shaikh) is very polite. The first week of December, my husband and I visited the store, in search of two Diamond Bands for me.This was not only going to be my Christmas gift, but also my 20th Wedding Anniversary gift. We saw two similar bands that I liked, however, one of them was sliver. Usaid explained that if we wanted the rings, he could dip the silver ring in gold, so that it would match the other. He said that the layer of gold placed on that silver ring, will last for six months. Then we will have to return them to have it dipped again, and so on. Which was acceptable to me. Aprroxiamately two weeks later, my husband returned to purchase the rings, and followed Usaid's suggestion. It was given to me on Christmas Day.They were beautiful! Unfortunately, the gold layered silver band that was supposed to last for six months, didn't even last six days. I called to make a verbal complaint, and was told by Usaid, that he would order another GOLD DIAMOND BAND, and that it would arrive in three weeks. The problem is, that the silver diamond band cost us $1048.50, the gold diamond band was $780.99. The silver band was purchased because we trusted that the sales clerk, and believed he knew what he was talking about. Now that another gold band ($780.99) has been ordered for me, how is it that the store manager feels I'm not due a refund? There is a $267.51 difference in the cost of the bands. I'm suing!
