Publicly-owned utility serving the City of Lafayette, Louisiana with electric, water, wastewater and fiver telecommunications services

Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) employs more than 500 people and is a department of the Lafayette Consolidated Government. The main benefit the Lafayette community receives from owning its utility is having one of the lowest residential electric utility rates in the state. LUS also provides award-winning drinking water, environmentally-sound wastewater treatment and the city's only 100% fiber-to-the-home network.
