This is a complaint about a deposit taken for a service never received from STEPHEN L. DAVIS, D/B/A DAVIS ROSHER PLUMBING claimed to be a CERTIFIED FLORIDA CONTRACTOR CFC-057254 with communications conducted directly by Stephen L. Davis. I called DAVIS ROSHER PLUMBING on August 11, 2018 based on website to find out how to deal with a problem I was having with a water softener/filter installation. Mr. Davis arrived on site August 13, 2018 to fix a stuck gate valve and to perform an assessment of the current work performed by the other company. For the gate valve fix, provide an assessment and reconfiguration of the drain lines, work done on August 13th for $325.00 paid by check. Mr. Davis emailed a Report / Invoice 93654 from STEPHEN L. DAVIS, D/B/A DAVIS ROSHER PLUMBING dated August 14, 2018, based on this report I stopped work and agreed to contract Davis Rosher. The job which was detailed in the report, a complete re-plumbing was quoted to be performed in copper pipes and would be completed by the mutually verbally agreed to date of August 18, 2018. Mr. Davis requested a 50% deposit for Report / Invoice 93654 to which check for $800.00 was provided to Mr. Davis. Work on Report / Invoice 93654 has not been performed to and more than 30 days have passed. Check was cashed on August 15, 2018.
