At Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates, we are committed to delivering compassionate, state of the art healthcare of the highest quality Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates was established in 1978. Since that founding, we have grown to a group of 14 Board Certified Gastroenterologists. As gastroenterologists, we care for patients with diseases and disorders of the digestive tract, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver and pancreas. Gastroenterologists also receive specialized training in endoscopy, a non-surgical procedure which uses a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it to examine the inside of the digestive/intestinal tract. Our physicians see patients and perform procedures at multiple locations conveniently located throughout the Birmingham area. BGA physicians maintain collaborative relationships with local primary care providers. If your primary physician refers you to BGA, our office will communicate your treatment plan or test results with your physician.
