My husband snatched our daughter out of daycare in the middle of the day, filed for divorce, and found Dr. Monaghan to say that our daughter needs "therapy". Dr. Monaghan charges me $250 an hour for so called "supervised" visits. We haven't even been to court yet, but if I don't pay, I don't get to see my daughter.

After several sessions with Dr. Monaghan, I feel I can accurately conclude that she has not really accomplished anything at all with the therapy so I feel like it has been a waste of my money and time. She mostly serves as a paid listener without much to add to the sessions. She did tell me about some of her issues, her cancer treatments and so on, but it just put me in an awkward position so I withdrew from her practice shortly thereafter. I am not likely to recommend her to anyone and I have a newly found appreciation for reading reviews BEFORE making a decision on a therapist.

Dr. Monaghan has been a literally tireless advocate for my minor child for over a year. Her steadfast concern and interest in my child throughout the entire divorce process and beyond transcends her simply being a conscientious professional. Dr. Monaghan's passion and dedication to insure my child's safety and happiness are beyond measure. My gratitude is beyond words. And it is a gratitude which I will carry for a lifetime.
