Tabernacle Federal Credit Union was organized in 1960 to enable the members of Tabernacle Baptist Church to have a financial institution available that could help them overcome the inequities of the Augusta financial system. It would enable it's members to make small, low cost loans and have savings that would give them the best returns possible.
