Susan's philosophy of physical therapy begins with looking at the patient as a whole person, including the area of pain and compensatory patterns. Susan specializes in manual therapy, an approach to help diagnose and treat soft tissues/muscles, joints and nerves. Skilled hands-on techniques include myofascial release, muscle energy, joint mobilization, cranial-sacral therapy, neurofascial release, neural tension, and neuromuscular re-education. Integral to this treatment is the observation of abnormal movement and postural patterns to develop specific exercises and corrective postures.
