I hired Eadie Construction to update my mom's shower; whom is an elderly lady with MS and my Master Bathroom. Jim is a really nice guy but his work ethic and skill set is lacking. He was always in a rush and moved from one thing to another without finishing one part at a time; this caused a mess in the quality of his work. Each day, I pointed out issues that I noticed and felt it was fair to let him know prior to finishing the job and then telling him what was not acceptable. By unacceptable, I am talking about poorly cut tiles on the floor and shower, damaging all items (vanity, Tub, faucet handles, etc.), tiles were not even, sharp corners sticking up, broken tiles from not ensuring the floors and walls were even underneath, threshold of shower cut from tile and not one was even and all were sharp and dangerous, window sill tile was not even slightly straight, the "niche" in my shower was out of place and looked bad and wasn't water proof. My shower floor clearly looked like he did not do it all at once, it was uneven, large areas of grout missing and not consistent in any way, he just filled with grout where some tiles should be because it was "easier". Each item I pointed out, he would say "oh that's hard to do" or "your wall is not straight", always had an excuse! He even switched my hot and cold water lines in my shower! I cannot even name and explain all of the bad workmanship! I do have at least 100 pictures of all the issues!
Do not hire him, he may seem like the best deal out there and will make you feel like he knows what he's doing but he does not!

I have at least 200 pictures of the poor workmanship. Lesson learned for me is you get what you pay for, there is a reason he was the cheapest. I thought it was because he did not have all the overhead as some of the other companies. I paid for every item I received including the mirror. I stopped the payment of the final installment due to the work needed to be corrected and his version of correct was not the same as mine. I reached out to the shower door company on my own to still purchase the doors. I was told that in order for the doors to fit, I needed to make sure the new contractor did not "correct" my walls; therefore, I was not able to take them. My new contractor has no problem making my walls plumb. I did tell him every morning the items that were not satisfactory with us. The issue with my fence (years ago) was $935.00 and the company chose not to come back and complete the work, so of course I did not pay them. Thank god I was able to stop payment on the check to Jim because I needed to have the bathroom completely ripped out and they had to start over. I wish I could post pictures here because that would speak volumes. If you are considering hiring Jim,
Please email [email protected] and I can send you pictures.

I have been in construction since 1984. I don't remember ever receiving a poor review. I am far from perfect, but I try to give my best for a fair price. I am proud of the fact that I never had to advertise and that I have stayed very busy through word of mouth and referrals. Ninety-five percent of my jobs come through referrals.
In fact Leah contacted me through a referral.
I would like to set the record straight on several issues that she has mentioned. Leah asked me to give her an estimate to do her Master Bath remodel. We went over the project and I gave her a price. She later told me that I was several thousand dollars cheaper than the other contractor. Most of the materials she selected had to be special ordered. They had another bathroom and wanted us to go ahead and start it anyway. We did not jump around on the project but worked as materials arrived. Leah states that she told us of problems every day. This is untrue!! She mentioned a couple of tiles and some damage to a vanity bottom. There was never a time that I told her anything was to hard. The vanity had been special ordered and had taken a couple of weeks to arrive. There was minor damage to it when we unpacked it. It was chipped on the very bottom. I was picking up a touch up kit for it and the quarter round molding would have covered it. The majority of any cut tiles were on the outside walls and covered by trim. I discussed the niche placement with them and installed it where agreed on. It was a Schluter one piece foam niche and could not leak.
The framing on the house was not level or plumb in several areas. Leah ordered an custom shower door and agreed to pay the difference. It was custom made for her shower and for her walls that were not plumb. She agreed to pay the difference in the price $3100 and it was measured and ordered. When they called to install it. She refused it. Since it was on my account, I now have a useless shower door that I had to pay for.
Leah wanted a special lighted mirror. She had not picked one yet so I told here that if she bought it, I would install it for her. When she finally picked one, she said she would order it. I could save her a little if I put it on my account, so I told her I could order it and she could pay me. It looks great in her house. I have not been paid for it yet.
I saw my first caution flag half way through the project when we were in the kitchen and she began to discuss another subcontractor ( a fence installer) who she said she still owed $2500 to and he had not come back for it. I thought who does not come back to finish for that.
At least 3 times during the project, Leah talked to me about remodeling the hall bath when I finished the Master bath. In fact the last day I was there, Leah wrote me a check and asked me for the price of doing the 2nd bathroom. I told her we would be back on Monday to do any punch out list she had. I thought we were on very good terms. The check did not go through and the next I heard was that she was setting my tools that I had left there out. I told her that I would be happy to fix anything she was having a problem with. She would not communicate with me.
She stuck me for $9000. I only wish she had never contacted me and I had never started the job.
Again, my entire advertising is through referrals. I am not perfect but I don't deserve this. thanks for the opportunity to respond
