Awful company. Do NOT hire them. They lie about low price, then once they show up for the move they require that you pay much more. If you don't pay the double or more charge, they LEAVE without notice. Unprofessional and crooked. Be forewarned.

Strong Man Movers came to my house this morning and delivered an extremely heavy item which was brought down into my basement. There were concerns that my old rusty bulkhead steps might not hold up under the weight of such a large item. But the two movers very thoughtfully & carefully managed to get the item down the stairs and put into the assigned space. I was very impressed by their performance and would not hesitate to use them again if the need arose. And the delivery price was very reasonable... Five stars to this company!

I hired Piano Moving Specialists after receiving a quote through your site. They are also known at Strong Man Movers. I booked them for 4/13/13 for a flat rate of $300 ("no hidden charges") This was a very small move and I asked that 2 bureaus be taken from my home and donated. I was told if they were in good condition, they would take them for free and donate them and write it off. The furniture was in good condition, so I had no concern and booked. I was informed by phone the next day, that they had a move scheduled in the morning but they would be done in time to move me at approximately 1 - 2 p.m. At 3 p.m., I called and was told that they were still an hour and a half away and did I want to do it the next day? I wasn't happy, but agreed to meet them at Noon the next day. After repeated phone calls, the movers showed up at 1:15. They were very quick and professional and the move proceeded without a flaw UNTIL it was time for payment. I was then informed that they only take cash or credit cards. I was not prepared for this. Also I was informed that it would be $70 extra for the 'free' disposal of the unwanted bureaus. I called Robert on the phone and told him I didn't have a credit card, and certainly didn't have $370 cash on me. He hung up on me and called the movers to give them a hard time. I gave them a check. This entire experience was totally unprofessional and I feel that I was taken advantage of. Don't hire these guys!
