Got a call from Luis Serrano w/Gensler Const who asked 4 our Sales dept. I told him we don’t have 1. Then he asked 2 speak w/L*** P***. I asked regarding which project. He gave some BS story about how it’s an upcoming project & would like to get pricing. I explained he would need 2 speak 2 the Estimating Dept & again asked name of the job. He said ‘It’s located in Allendale near Springfield’. I said ‘Do you mean Annandale’? He said that's correct-wasn't familiar w/the area since his 'branch' of Gensler is in Miami, FL. I gave him estimating’s email to send bid invite & drawings to & asked him for his mailing address in Miami-I was very suspicious at this point. I hear him get on the computer as he gave me some sob-story about how he's new 2 Gensler Const. & wasn’t sure of the address. I advised him that I knew this to be a scam/phishing call & his # will be blocked. Mr. Jackson identified himself as the VP of Recruitment. I explained what happened-how Luis lied, misrepresented himself as being w/Gensler Const & acquired an email address under false pretenses. I asked him if this was an acceptable & taught business practice in reaching out 2 prospective recruits. He blew my question off, asking if there was anything else he could do for me. I also contacted THE REAL Gensler Construction in Miami, FL & advise them of the misrepresentation this company is performing. That will hopefully spark some sort of lawsuit! What a horrible business practice!!
