One can find divine energy when seeking the knowledge and truth of oneself. Shakti Yoga & Wellness is a Hatha Yoga studio. Hatha Yoga is a style of sequencing of postures for overall mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It is the most commonly practiced yoga in the United States. Hatha yoga uses asanas (postures), breath work (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) to achieve a sound body, mind and soul. ‘Ha’ meaning sun and ‘tha’ meaning moon, creating a balance, opposing forces finding the peace in that balance. Hatha yoga will have movement and stillness, activity and rest, inhale and exhale, stretching and folding. There are some other sequencing incorporated in other classes. Therapeutic classes will be offered to work on overall wellness through our mind, positive thinking, and learning how to live in each moment to find an inner peace and contentment.
