If I may start this off correctly I would say whatever you do never place any minor here! Unless you don't care about them, unless you just want the money and can't careless if your child is mistreated! I know what you're thinking you must want the best fot your and you're hoping they get the support they need to start making progress. I was a resident about 2 yrs ago, when I first got there of course I was shy, nervous and scared of this new environment mind you i hadn't really done anything to get there ( foster care) the first few days were so laid back and my sister was there as well by the time it came for me to register in school everything changed. I wanted to attend my sister's school because I mean who wouldn't want to go to school with family?? The owner ( Dorothy) didn't like me although she didn't even know me. She started giving me attitude about that my sister is hers and that i would be attending another school because she didn't want me getting in arguments with her which is reasonable. I attended the school and one day I didn't want to go the staff were forced to lock me out of the home all morning from (5am to 10am) with no shoes, no socks, just shorts, and a shirt they took my jesus blanket and said we aren't allowed to have religions and told me that if I didn't go to school she would not let me in the house so eventually I ended up going to school! My sister gave me 10 dollars and when I came home later that day they refused to let me in because I didn't want to give up my money, I've been hit by the owners husband mr. Johnson and Dorothy herself. We weren't allowed to play outside or they would count it as awol! We weren't allowed to go upstairs when we felt sick, lightheaded, dizzy etc and forced to participate in all the curriculums. If refused they would not pay you and you would be placed under lop ( lack of privileges) they had a therapist who would only be interested in speaking about sex! We were forced to speak to him but of course if I felt uncomfortable I knew my right and never did! They will tell you that you don't have rights, you are not allowed to have religions, she is manipulative, a liar, and a racist! They will not help you they will make your live worse! They treat your staff with disrespect, unkind, even bully them. They will embarrass you! They beat kids upstairs because they are no cameras up there, they purposely made fun of my sister into killing herself because she was suicidal and making fun of a suicidal person is dangerously unlawful! Know your rights!! Fight for them!! In case you're wondering what happened to my life after i left that s*** place well i continued junior year and graduated in 2019 of june in September enrolled in a Emt class of course I passed, I then joined the ongoing semester which im currently in! Imagine you is horrible but you are amazing and its all up to!
