We had to close our business a few years back and Catalina was our CPA at the time. She made sure all the accounts were properly closed, kept our bookkeeping on track and there were no glitches with the wind-down of activities. My partners got somewhat hostile and she helped to keep everything calm to the end. We have her do our personal tax returns only now, which are much easier since retirement!

POOR SERVICE. RUN DONT WALK! One of those CPAs that doesn't outline their fees, no agreements are signed, work is delivered on or after the deadline, not before. In a last minute ditch effort, this CPA decided to inform me the day of Oct 15th, 2015 that she could not file my taxes. I was left scrambling to clear my schedule, clear my clients appointments, my client missed out on a huge investment, and I was left to figure out my own taxes and file them myself so as not to miss the extension deadline. Once instructed to stop any remaining work after receiving her email, this CPA ignored my request and continued to do work on my filing, and pretends were best buddies now, that she could file them all along, and then sends me a copy of the filing 3 hrs later and an invoice. I am now having to hire an attorney to defend myself against this unethical practice. You do not get to take it upon yourself to do work you were not authorized to do and bill me, then send it to collections in a fraudulent attempt to collect a fee. Are you really hurting for money that bad?! Once a client tells you to stop work, the only thing on that invoice should be work up to that point! This CPA sends an invoice of work she did AFTER THE FACT, and wants to get paid on it. Not happening. A client of mine witnessed the entire email communication and if this has to go to court thankfully she will be there. This CPA was told countless times to STOP any further work on the filing.
