Beth R. Friedland, MD, works at Park Ophthalmology in North Carolina. She has great expertise and interest in ocular gerontology, pediatric ophthalmology, occupational eye safety, and laser eye safety. For her excellence and leadership skills, Dr. Friedland was honored in 2011 with a BusinessLeader Women Extraordinaire Award and the Triangle Businesswoman of the Year Award. Having such a love for what she does, she also is an active volunteer with Eye Care America, a public service foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, to reduce avoidable blindness and severe visual impairment by raising awareness about eye disease and care and much more. Dr. Friedland is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine, sharing her experiences and knowledge, and educating future Ophthalmologists.
