I was sold a car that has structural damage.The business was aware of the damage and did not disclose even though I asked if the car had any accidents I bought a car from Luxury Motor Group on Saturday, August 23rd. I told them that I was looking for a VW Jetta with one owner and a CLEAN carfax...meaning no accidents. They showed me a couple cars with clean carfax's and I decided on one and purchased it that day. Before purchasing, I called a VW dealership service department to confirm that all service up to 30,000 miles had been performed and everything checked out. The car had 33,000 miles and a clean car fax so I felt confident in my purchase. A few days later I read some negative reviews online from others who purchased cars from Luxury Motor Group that were stating that they were shown clean carfax's at the dealership and when they looked for themselves on the carfax website the car had an accident history and structural damage prior to them purchasing at Luxury Motor Group. Out of curiosity I ran the carfax on August 30th for the car that I purchased on August 23rd and sure enough...MY CAR HAS STRUCTURAL DAMAGE reported to carfax! The value is $1500 less than the value of the carfax that they showed me at the dealership the day of my purchase. FURTHERMORE, the carfax expressly states that all structural damage is disclosed at auction prior to being sold.
