Housed by The Ohio State University's African and African-American Studies program, the purpose of this course was to cultivate a group of leaders with a sense of urgency for the African-American community. As of Spring 2008, Jazzy Greens has been registered with the Ohio Department of the Secretary of State as a Sole-Proprietorship (Ruby N. White) Limited Liability Company. During its first phase of implementation, Jazzy Greens will offer educational consultant services that will help to empower urban school systems through community/edible school garden development, cooking classes and environmental awareness classroom instruction.
