We shopped at Grants, Narrows, VA. the afternoon of 7/3/2013. When we were ready to check out the power had went off then came back on leaving the 2 open check outs backed up by 15 customers in each. As we stood waiting for the staff to fix the problem an idea came to mind. Why don,t the management have a laptop on stand-by with a hand scanner, using the same program the registers use, and saving all transactions on a CD for later download, a phone link could be used for all bank transactions? Even just one battery powered lap-top could have eliminated the confusion and lost of customers who left not buying anything.
