We thank our lucky stars that we found Bedwetting Treatment Center. My son has had this problem his entire life and he's now fifteen and half and finally graduating the program after one full year. I know the average is probably around 6 months but he's a deep sleeper and active in sports and school which made him probably an even deep sleeper. Anyhow, we have moved countries and pediatrician offices and no matter where we were, every ped told us that my son would grow out of it. Well fast forward over ten years, and my son was in high school and still wetting the bed at night. I shed tears thinking about all those sleepovers, sports competitions, school trips, friends and family vacations where he had to either decline to attend or surreptitiously hide his nighttime diapers in a backpack. Even the closest family members judged him which was very hard on me as a mother. We tried a treatment run by the children's hospital here where we met with a nurse and purhcased amazon pee pee alarms, and the nurse was not helpful or constructive when the alarms kept breaking or coming off at night so we missed days and days of opportunity to train my son. The nurse made it out that it was our fault, our lack of commitment, etc. I must have bought at least 8 alarms off Amazon. Finally when my son was in high school, I panicked. I spent one night, sleepless, researching different programs and hospitals, and finally came to Bedwetting Treatment Center when I searched nighttime bedwetting teen. Those three words finally resulted in a google search of this treatment program. Everyone was supportive, our nurse specialist was extremely constructive, empathetic and well, effective. She didn't sugarcoat the time it would take or the commitment it required but with her support and the incredible alarm that never broke, we managed to get my son dry in one year. Yes, it sounds like a long time but he was wetting the bed for over 10 years and looking forward to going to college in two years. I know we will look back to a one year program and think that it was nothing to get him back to being a normal teenager and looking to do normal teenage activities. I found the Enuresis Treatment Center out of frustration. I am 23 and I wet the bed, the first time until 16. Everybody said I finally got ‘control of myself” and made it happen. Believe me, we tried everything to stop the bed wetting! I had NOTHING to do with it and had no idea how it stopped. Then I went off to college and started bedwetting.
